  • Real-time chat
  • Plan reviews

What you can book

Ask for any of these by name when you send an enquiry.

Most booked

One-to-one consultation

A scheduled session with one consultant on one question — pricing, hiring, a stalled product, a decision you keep postponing.

  • Agenda agreed before the call
  • Your figures reviewed in advance
  • Written summary with next steps
  • Recording on request

Consultant chat

Short questions answered in a running thread, for the weeks when you do not need a whole session.

  • Same consultant throughout
  • Share documents in the thread
  • Thread stays searchable

Business plan review

Send the plan and the model; get it back marked up the way a lender or an investor would read it.

  • Assumptions stress-tested
  • Cash-flow and margin check
  • Comments in the document
  • Walk-through call

Templates and resources

The working files our consultants use — pricing sheets, cash-flow models, hiring scorecards, board-update formats.

  • Editable spreadsheets and docs
  • Short notes on how to fill them
  • Updated as we revise them

Follow-up programme

Recurring sessions with the same consultant, so advice turns into something that actually got done.

  • Standing slot in the calendar
  • Agreed actions carried forward
  • Chat access between sessions

Scope and fee are confirmed in writing before any session is booked.

The questions we are asked most

Pricing that stopped working

Costs moved, your prices did not. We rebuild the pricing from unit margin up and sanity-check what the increase does to your best customers.

Cash is tight but sales are fine

Payment terms, stock, tax timing and seasonality, laid out on one cash-flow sheet so you can see which month is the real problem.

The first hires

What to delegate first, how to write the role, what to pay attention to in interviews, and how to tell in month two whether it is working.

Getting the plan funded

We read your plan as a lender or investor does, flag the assumptions they will attack, and rewrite the sections that lose them.

Choosing between two directions

A new market, a new product, or a partnership. We put numbers and risks beside each option instead of arguing about them.

Work that only you can do

Mapping the handful of processes the business depends on you for, and writing them down so somebody else can run them.

How a consultation works

  1. Send the enquiry

Your name, your email and a line about the problem. That line is enough for us to decide who should answer it.

  2. We match the consultant

You are told who you will be speaking to and what they work on, before anything is booked.

  3. Prepare, then talk

Send what you have — figures, the plan, the half-finished spreadsheet. The consultant reads it before the session, so the time goes on the decision.

  4. You get it in writing

A summary of what was decided, the actions, and who does them. Book a follow-up or keep the thread open in chat.

What owners say afterwards

★★★★★
I came in asking whether to hire a second technician. We spent the session on my pricing instead, and that turned out to be the actual question.
Marta
★★★★★
The plan came back with comments on every assumption I had been quietly avoiding. Uncomfortable, then very useful.
Declan
★★★★☆
Being able to drop a short question into the chat between sessions is what made the advice stick. I stopped saving things up for weeks.

Before you enquire

Who are the consultants?

Practitioners who have run or advised small businesses — operations, pricing, finance, sales and hiring. You are told who you are matched with, and what they work on, before a session is booked.

What should I prepare?

Whatever you already have: recent figures, a draft plan, a list of the decisions you are stuck on. If you have nothing written down, say so in the enquiry and the first session starts there.

Is what I share confidential?

Yes. Documents and figures are seen only by the consultant working with you, and we will sign your own confidentiality agreement if you prefer to use it.

Can I keep the same consultant?

That is the normal arrangement. Follow-up sessions and the chat thread stay with the person who already knows your business.

Is this advice I can rely on legally or financially?

It is business guidance, not legal, tax or investment advice. Where a decision needs a solicitor or an accountant, your consultant will say so plainly.

Tell us the problem

One line is enough to start. We read every enquiry ourselves.

  • A consultant reads it — not a sales desk
  • You hear back by email, with who we would match you to
  • Nothing is booked or charged until you agree the scope
